Announcing the Future Home of the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce

Thank you to all who helped make this a reality for the all-volunteer Board, which will use the space as an office and greeting center, strengthening their ability to support local businesses and non-profits.

Thank you to Assemblyman Gary Schaer , Bergen County Board of Commissioners and all those who attended to make this meaningful event even more special.

 

The Proclamation presented by Mayor Nunziato reads: 

 

WHEREAS, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 1927 as a non-profit organization, and,

WHEREAS, since its inception, the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce’s mission has been to promote commercial, retail, industrial and civic activities locally, and,

WHEREAS, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce invites non-profit organizations to join as well to assist them in spreading the good they do within the community, and,

WHEREAS, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce regularly holds events to raise funds for non-profit groups, and,

WHEREAS, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce maintains an annual scholarship program for students of Rutherford and St. Mary High Schools, and,

WHEREAS, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce regularly hosts events to encourage collaboration and communication within the business community as well as the general public, and,

WHEREAS, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, its leadership and its members exemplify the true spirit of volunteerism, and,

WHEREAS, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce’s dedication and success can only be strengthened by a physical space out of which to operate for the betterment of the community,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, on behalf of the Borough of Rutherford, I, Mayor Frank Nunziato wish to express our sincere appreciation to The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce for offering so much to the community and welcome them into the Rutherford Train Station Office.
